permantly replace map with a ppf??How?

instead of changing the cache files everytime, can i just permanetly replace some of the lvl maps, but what do i apply the patch to? i just want to permanetly change my halo maps.

ya - find a .ppf u want to use. Apply it to a fresh blood gulch cache. Open ur modded map in Spark Edit. Go to file/save as compressed. Then rename ur compressed map to bloodgulch.map. Put that files on ur xbox to "X:/Halo/maps" and overwrite the file that's there.

and if you have a map you dont play
you can replace it with your permently modded map (blood gulch instead of rat race)

you go in to your hex editor (blood gulch map)
in hex editor at top (header, techinal name) change bloodgulch to rat race
and change the filename from bloodgulch.map to ratrace.map
and copy ratrace.map (permently moddel bloodgulch) to your xbox

your just making halo think bloodgulch is ratrace

what about adding a map to the MP menu? Since there are a bazillion Bloodgulch maps, is there a way to get the favorite ones into the game along with the originals? That way I could expand on Sniperkilla's NMP game with a dozen other maps.

thanks for the help! uhh that would be cool to add maps to the menu, i beleive you can do it on comp, but i dont know about xbox.
