HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I tried to implrement these 2 mods (Jungle and Snow Gulch) and was unsuccessfull with both. They both increase the cache003 file to be quiet large (around 290 MB) and I had space issues at first. My xbox reported not enough disk space to uplaod the entire file. So I removed cache000 and cache001 and was able to upload the entire thing.

I then Launched my xbox and Halo and tried split screen on Blood Gulch to see the new mod and alas, nothing, just the same ole bg!! I had the exact same issue with snow gulch. However in the jungle gulch download there was a "bloodgulch.map" file also so I uploaded this to my Halo>maps directory and backed up the original one (just in case) and I got a read error. What is this new map for if it does not work at all?

Has anyone had any success with either of these mods and if so what about my procedure is mistaken?

Try the Halo Cache Editor (from the "usual places") it can patch the maps directly on the xbox (so you only have to upload ppfs) and has always seemed to work for me

What is the new bloodgulch.map for then in the mods rar file?
