Applying Mods

Probably a stupid question but here it goes.
I dl'd a cuple mods so you can play as various Covies. The file extracts to a UDATA file and a gameid.ini. I copied in the UDATA but I'm not sure where to put the ini file.
I've tried several spots and I don't see a similar file to swap it with.
