How do you make MC fly if say, you pick up a certain weapon?

Is it possible for you to pick up a gun and your controls change to banshee flight controls? If so would it be possible for your controls to switch back to normal if you switch weapons for something unmodded?
cool example: Damnation, when you pick up a plasma pistol you can fly (there would be only one spot if you start with general weapon settings) You can switch weapons to land somewhere and run about or free fall for a sec then touch down on to sheild...
