Converting SP Maps into MP Maps?

Hey guys i was just roaming around the forums and really saw no topics to interesting about converting sp maps into mp maps on halo for xbox. Im sure if it has been done we all would have heard by now. I took notice that halo for pc has had some success in converting sp maps into mp maps, humm! Makes me wonder is it that much harder to do for halo xbox version. I ask this because halo for xbox needs to be spiced up a little bit in multiplayer mode with the board selections. Like for instance "Chiron" that board sucks major ass and could definity be taken out of the game without any complaints im sure. Well if anyone has any information on this topic please fell free to post away!

I have heard that someone is working on this... but I think that is all I can say, and it also came to my 3rd hand so I'm not sure

it probably wouldnt be possible
because with xbox's you cannot change the size of the cache file.
multiplayer maps are in the 100's of mb so if you converted em you would have to change the cache file size down.
but then again there are those who say nothings impossible on halo

Theres no way you couldcompress that file info into the size needed. Nice idea though.

Well, one step closer is better than where we are right now, lol. Let's just hope that the new HMT is sick and has more features. I guess well all pray for a "NO LIMITATION" on modding Halo for Xbox ha! lol

Yeah, man! I want to be able to play as perfectly modeled Elites in multiplayer. Maybe in SP maps. The only way I know, how you can import new models, is by deleting something else.

yea sp into mp would be pretty cool only thing but it seems that pc is gettin everything what about xbox ......people are losing intrest im growing sad .....i feel like starting a group.......hehe o well

Yeah, man! I want to be able to play as perfectly modeled Elites in multiplayer. Maybe in SP maps. The only way I know, how you can import new models, is by deleting something else.
hahaha... believe me I hear ya man. Even though Halo for PC is an excellent game I still have to say Xbox is better, sorry! Anyways im sure something is going to happen in the near future. We have a lot of talented people here at halomods. So my gut instinct tells me that we should have no worries.

It IS possible... i am working on it right now... i have the level... but it has no bsp... once another program comes out (i will not specify which) i will have my bsp in... because right now i am not completely sure with the format on xbox ( i know it better on PC) but after that is in... i would only need the "decals", which would be the only thing i'm stuck on... so if anyone figures out how to do that, TELL ME!!!

Holy shit! He was talking about the void! And i've heard about this "new program" a couple of times now, maybe a new HHT. I can't wait for that program to come out.

Some of you are talking about a new version of HMT, but I don't know where you got that idea.
Straight from the readme.txt that came with HMTv3.5:
"This is definately the final HMT that I'll ever release."
...so, um, I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but don't hold your breath.
On the topic of not enough space in Xbox maps for an SP->MP conversion...
There's isn't enough space for a whole SP map, but there's plenty of space for a section of it...which is what all the HPC conversions are also...just sections of SP maps.

On halo for Xbox the game itself caches in either the x, y, or z folders. Now editing multiplayer maps is totally possible. But when trying to convert sp maps -> mp maps there

mabye if your playing the game of your hd
