Project Delphi - site is up

Now, this isn't something that I think should be posted in Project Recruitment, because I am going to try and do it regardless of wether or not anyone decides to help.

What I am proposing is simple:
We take the Halo engine, and through the use of the HEK, Magic, and a heck of a lot of time and effort, make Halo into a completely different game.
It's actually rather simple. We just need a new UI and a set of single player maps. Then we replace all the MP maps with custom ones (possibly modified versions of CE maps that fit the theme of the game), change the UI so that the names are different (easily done by changing a single string list), take the single player, write a new storyline, make all the stuff we need, get it scripted and running properly, convert it all to XBox (we would have to use the original Xbox tags while making everything so that it converts correctly) and burn it to a new DVD.
I know this would take time, LOTS of time, I've been mapping for 6 months and have only made 2 maps that were really that good. 1 if you consider that the first I am considering was never really done.
I know there are people out there that can complete a full BSP in about a week, with a proffessional look to it. Those are the people I urge to join this project, because everyone knows my maps (the maps themselves) aren't too good. I know there are people out there who can script an AI for single player, people who can model relatively good vehicles, weapons, scenery, in less time than it takes me to right this post. I urge you all to join me.

In review, here are the people I need:
Story writers
Level designers
Vehicle designers
BSP Modelers
Taggers
Modelers
Texturers
Testers
EDIT: Few things I forgot about
Concept artists
Musicians
Cutscene "directors"
Voice actors

If anyone is interested, the first order of business should be to develop a storyline. It can be related to Halo or completely different, but it has to be possible. The next order of business will be to group people into teams that can be assigned specific tasks throughout the process of developement.

The hardest part about making a new game is making the engine, and since that is already done for us, it won't be as difficult as some might think. It will, however, take time.

PS: Sorry if anything is out of order in this, I typed it as I thought about it.

EDIT:
If you don't think you can help, just give us an idea of what kind of first person shoot you would like to have, and remember that we're using Halo 1, so don't expect the next best game for the Xbox.

EDIT 2:
Well, just thought I'd add a few things to list of people we need and say that I'm dubbing hte project "Project Delphi" so that the two projects I have going on are both related (My other project is "Oracle", so yeah...)
I will try and set up the site, or at least get the hosting tomorrow.
We will have a full phpNuke w/ phpBB site up and running soon, but on monday I have summer PE (best to get it out of the way now)

I can be a level designer; I used to be a 2D Artist at Halo Map Makers, a group dedicated to making Halo CE maps. :D PM me if you wanna see some of my older work (I haven't done this in a while).

This would take a long time!

I will apply for these jobs:

Story Writer
Tester
Musician
Voice Actor

I will do any of those jobs.

sign me up for the Xbox part of the whole ordeal :P

I could also do some voices if needed. Possibly even some minor modeling.

My honest opinion... post this at the Gearbox forums...a lot more skilled people "hang out" there.

Thank you very much for joining, I'm setting up the website (http://delphi.byethost7.com/) with phpNuke + phpBB right now (it's completely free, and GruntMaps runs off the same host).

Also, can someone post it at GBX for me, considering I've been banned from GBX for 6 months (don't ask why, I don't like to talk about it)

EDIT:
Oh, yeah, and we're not going to need modelers and scripters for a while, but we will be needing musicians before we get to making the maps.

Right now we NEED a storyline, I'd like to go wiht something unrelated to Halo, or if it is related to Halo, something bungie would never do (we could do pre-Halo, but Halo: Ultima failed miserably because no one joined that could do anything and I got thrown around for doing things in 5 minutes better than the people with the job doing them in 5 days, so yeah, they weren't very good)

EDIT 2:
Just thought I'd say the site is up, I'm working on getting the forums running right now

EDIT 3:
Posted this over at the delphi site:
Overview
By making 10 custom Halo CE campaign maps, a custom UI (using Xbox UI Tags) and a set of custom maps, converting them to Xbox and burning them to a disc with the Halo XBE, we can create a brand new shooter for Xbox that can be played on modded boxes. The game will support system link and have a full campaign.
Phase 1: Storyline creation
Before we make the game we need to know what the story behind it is. Halo's story was simple: an alien race is on a mission to activate a set of sacred rings and the humans are in a battle with them. The flood, another alien race, inhabits the rings whose sole purpose is to destroy all life and starve the flood.
Our story so far looks like this:
The year is 2357. Republics and democracy are a thing of the past. All are ruled by one, the Supreme Overlord, Abdul-Muta'al.
Your mission is simple, destroy Abdul-Muta'al and bring back democracy to Earth.
If you have any other ideas, let us know.
Phase 2: Planning a Campaign
It's not a game if it's just multiplayer. We need a full campaign to go with our story. 10 levels maximum due to the way Halo works.
They will be scripted, tagged, and filled with custom sounds including the voices of those who wish to record dialog.
Phase 3: Making the Maps
See Phase 2. This is when we will model the maps for the campaign and multiplayer.
Phase 4: Creating the Characters
This is where the characters will be modeled and textured based on the storyline. We will also record dialog for the characters.
Phase 5: Weapons
It's not a shooter if you have nothing to shoot with. This is where we will model the guns and set up the UI for them.
Phase 6: Vehicles and Scenery
Wether it moves or not, this is when we make it. Trees are about the only thing we won't necessarily need to change.
Phase 7: Scripting the Campaign
In this stage, we will script the AI and set up the cutscenes for the Campaign.
Phase 8: The UI
In this stage we will make the UI for both the CE version and the Xbox version. In order to make the Xbox UI, we will need to use the Xbox tags retrieved from Magic.
Phase 9: Compilation
Here we will compile the Campaign and UI and test. If tests are successful we will convert to Xbox and weed out any bugs.
Phase 10: Printed Resources
At this stage we will design a DVD case, DVD label and instruction manual for the game.
Phase 11: Completion
After all printed resources have been made and the campaign and multiplayer maps have been debugged, we will release the map pack and begin burning our personal DVDs. If we reach this stage, congratulations, for we are the first group of players to make a game with a $0 budget and for no profti.
