Whenever I mod my halo 1 maps and put them back on my xbox they load but the mods arent there can anyone help me with this?

Make sure you're saving and compressing. Mabye try cache modding, if you're doing that, just add Halo to your HDD.

What if I've already got Halo on the hard drive and the modded maps daont change. I've modded the cache files as well but they didn't work. Do I have to change any of the other files in Halo, or are the modded maps supposed to work just by edditing them, compressing them, and then putting them back on the Hard Drive?

If you edit it and compress it, then be sure and clear the cahce. I wouldn't advise that though, you should mod the cache file and move it back as the cache file, no compression.
