hey i have made a mod for bg..its not done, but i have 3 problems... 1 is i need someone to tell me how to make the textures in bloodgulch night like.. NOT the sky..but the grass and rocks and stuff. i know one guy said just shade them w/ grey or something but i dont know how to do that w/ photoshop. besides that i have good knowledge of other stuff. the other 2 i dont want to say, the results will be pretty sweet though. so if anyone wants to help me make/finish this, IM, email or PM me. also do that if u think u can help w/ the other 2 problems

If you want to put a greyish look to something in photoshop, there are a few things that you can do. First of all select the area with the lasso tool. I would suggest the magnetic lasso. Then select it and you can change the hue and saturation to give it a more dull look. Or you can just fill it with grey, then go to that layer and go to blending option, and adjust the transparency. I would also suggest that you might add some purple and black and dark blue into it to give it a more night feel. And some purple and black and blue to the sky and moon. Good Luck. Also what version of PS do you have?

Well I do not have PS ,so I can only do the DXT1 textures, but I extract the textures,THAN I convert them to jpg with the image/texture converter link to free software, found on this site, import them into my PhotoMax camera software and there I have special effects, and choose to darken them, with the briteness control,or increase the contrast or hue, or lessen them if you want, reconvert back to dds and inject. Long way for me but you should be able to do it with PS, I would think it would let you change the brightness? And you should be a long way ahead of me because you can do the DXT2/DXT3, and other type textures. If PS does'nt have a brightness control you might do it my way with some camera software you have hope this helps

Photoshop has everything you will ever need. That is why it costs so much money. It is the best abd most powerful program out there, if you know how to use it.

i have photoshop 7.0
and thanks for telling me how to make the textures.. hopefully mallion will let me just use his textures... less work and i have most things figured out now besides something w/ the gun turret where you can shoot the turret and throw gernades and maybe if i can switch between the gun turret and your weapon...right now, its were u get in the back and it gets on the turret like mc does on the side of the tank and it looks like he still is sitting there shooting the turret.. prob is, he shoots both turret and his weapon. know how to change that? contact me
and also i wanted to replace the headlights w/ the blue beacons but when i do that they are on when im not in the warthog and when i get in they turn off then with the tailights i wanted to replace them of course w/ the red beacons and when i did that they were always on but when i brake they turn off. anyone know how to change that?
