Whats the diffence between pal and NTSC

Hey one more thing, i was looking around the website and saw that they had diffrent things for diffrent xboxs. Whats the diffrence between PAL and NTSC and how could i get one or the other? Is one better than the other?

PAL is european
NTSC is american
They are different video viewing formats, and NTSC hardware cannot play PAL, as PAL cannot NTSC, without modification. If in america, get NTSC, europe, PAL.
