Can someone give me a list of some programs to edit sounds on halo

if you download the HMK (halo modding kit) it includes hmt (halo map tools) which lets you edit the sounds. you need the adpcm wav codec tho which is a b*tch to find, took me 3 days.

that doesnt work for windows 98.is there a similar codec for win 98? or am i just doing it wrong? please help. thanx

anyways i think it should work with windows 98, unless it directly says "does not work with windows 98"

It doesn't work in win 98 as far as I can see. I have tried. You click install, it does but then doesn't seem to do anything.

ive gotten it to show up in sound recorder by copying it to the right directory, and ive encoded with it. The encoded file will not import tho. ive saving it as Xbox adpcm 22050Hz, 4-bit stereo at 24 kb/s. Is this the right setting?

but when i convert it and try to inject with hmt, i says not encodded with adpcm
