Insignia Editing...possible?

If you are able to isolate the file with all of the customisible insignias for the skins (7th maw, triforce etc) and were able to create an app which could edit them right down to the pixel but still use only the colors provided by Halo2, in theory you could draw any insignia you want in windows/nix/whatever and ftp it back, and others should still see it online because you are still using pure textures.
