help or flame?

been a quiet member for a while, off and on. just got a modded box and have been searching for months now on information. i've seen the hek, hht, ppfomatic, and all those tuts on how to mod halo. needlesstosay none of those programs work for me.

now, looking at all the posts trying to get information, and i see mostly ppl who know what they're talking about and some that don't and need help. but, nearly every time somebody comes looking for answers, they get the ol "go do a search you noob..." routine.

i can tell all you that there's not a lot to get from the searches. have any of you tried them? how often? did it REALLY work, or did you get pulled in a million different directions, or just went in circles? that's what i thought.

i refuse to even submit my questions here, but just thought i'd let ya'll know that there'd be more ppl involved, more mods for the scene, and a richer community of ya'll would get those modsticks outta ur butts and actually try to help us.

I have been doing the searching thing since i began modding about a year ago and it never fails. Most times when we say to search, people come back and say taht they couldnt find anything bec- they are too lazy to sometimes even try. The SEARCH works, just got to know what you are searching for! Anyways, why do none of those applications work for you? Lastly, if nothing else seems to work, www.google.com is your best friend

It kind of sounds like your problem is you don't have the .net setup on your computer, I believe all of these programs run off of .net. I do not know the exact link, but you can go to the microsoft website and search for it in downloads and find it pretty easy. It is the 20 MB download, hope this helps get you started.
