injecting scenery

what all do I need to inject besides a model for a piece of scenery. I'm trying to inject the ladder from battle creek into sidewinder. also can I just replace any piece of unused scenery?

The ladder isn't scenery, it's part of the BSP. You can't inject a ladder, you would have to make an entire level for CE with 3dsmax and convert it to Xbox. Not really a simple process.

sweses44, your right in CE the ladder is a scenery. but you dont have to model a whole new level, HEK comes with a tutorial level that is done for you. just open it up in sapien and place ladders (there are more steps)
acyd, the simplest way is to use HHT v4 recursive saveing/injecting. HHT v4 download comes with a tutorial on recursive injecting. but you can only inject a certin amount of "files" when you recursive inject

is the water in flood gulch just blocks with water shader?

The water is a megapanel block. I stretched out the model and nulled out the coll model.

what are all the tags I need to inject for scenery or does it vary depending on what you are injecting?

You need the scenery, model and collision tags injected for it to work right. If you want a ladder, you could save the ladder out of NMCx and inject it into SW. The easiest way to inject scenery is to save it recursively with HHT 4 and inject it into the map you want. If you are trying to make a ppf you need to use Trashbash on the map before you recursively inject anything into it. Hope this helped a little.

what about a projectile? I'm new to injecting stuff, and i want to put the Nuke projectile form TSF's silent cartographer MP into bloodgulch.
I'd just do the same thing as with scenery? (Recursive save/inject w/ HHT4)

Yeah, i got it. first couple tries it locked my comp up (and it screwed up all the tag names), but I got it to work. I might post the ppf is TSF will let me. You gotta trashbash it first.

is the only way to make the collision model bigger for a projectile to swap it with something else? or can you make your own?

get with the times man!
custom ce weapon tutorial it includes a little part about collision models and how to make them, they can be converted easily, compile map and extract

When i injected the nuke projectile, I had a new [proj] tag, so I went to the rocket launcher and changed the dependency for the projectile to the new tag.
for scenery, after you inject it, open the map in sparkedit, and select "tools" "import tag into scenario". Click on your new piece of scenery, and hit OK. Save the map, and exit SE. Open SE again, and open the map. Select a piece of scenery in the map, and duplicate it. Take your duplicate, and swap it with your injected scenery. Mov the scenery to where you want, and save it.
Now when you play the level, it should show the scenery.

Sub-Folder[b40]: Scenery

Sub-Folder[bitmaps]: b40_metaldamaged.bitm, b40_metaldamaged.bitm
Sub-Folder[shaders]: b40_metaldamaged.soso, b40_metaldamaged.soso
---==== Ok so what do i do with it? ====---
I tred to just click inject/
Sub-Folder[b40_metal_wide]: bitmaps, shaders
b40_metal_wide.coll , b40_metal_wide.mode , ===>metal_wide.scen <===
