Ok, this is a big question/problem that i cant seem to figure out and have looked at multiple tutorials on this and i CANT figure it out... I want to ftp to my xbox. I have a Linksys BEFSR41. Im trying to ftp using FlashFXP. My chip is the xecuter2.3b Pro, and I have successfully flashed my chip and have burned the newest version of EvolutionX dashboard onto the boot cd that i made. I also have the EvolutionX dashboard come up when i load the cd. I would like to have a full blown out tutorial on this bec- it just seems that everything i try leads to nothing... Im now on my fourth day of trying to ftp and trying different things and im finally just sick of trying and would like someone to explain anything and everything. If you help, i would like this to be all in one post not many by several people bec when this happens, other people have tried other things and they all start to crossover and make no sense to me. THANX a bunch if u want to help a desperate modder...

ME TO THE RESCUE ,, ok, on evox go to system utils, then settings, under FTP it should say yes, once you confirm that find your xbox's ip, listed under settings, do quick connect, type in the ip of your xbox, then for username and password type xbox,

note: to save time, when you quick connect you can hit the history drop down menu and select your box's ip, which will fill in the usernam and pass for you

ok, im going to start over with a new disc. What i want to know now is what settings should i make my evox.ini so i can properly network my xbox and ftp. Since i am using my original hdd, the tutorial i am following say that its a good idea to change all the f: fields to e: fields, so i did that so far, now what? If you have any questions on what my current settings are, look above at the first post or just ask me.

ok in your evox.ini netowrk section place this in there:

Code: Select all

[Network]

SetupNetwork	= Yes
StaticIP	= No
Ip		= 192.168.1.103
Subnetmask	= 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway	= 192.168.100.1
DNS1		= 0.0.0.0
DNS2		= 0.0.0.0
SetupDelay	= 0
SkipIfNoLink	= No

Now after you boot evox, go into sysstem utils > settings and make sure you are connected to your linksys unit. Take the ip address from "settings" and put it into your ftp prog, user: xbox pass:xbox port: 21
connect and all will be well
