just use whats on your box. Listen...If you modded a cache003 file. then you should be good. Start up you halo game, Than load up the level you are looking to replace....OK. then use your fxp or whatever to then replace THAT cache file. Then start up the level that you just replaced. The step of regetting the cache file is important.

ok. get the cache003 from an ftp client. im supposing you kno what to do with that. get the cache003 then mod it using hmt3.5 (if that tickles your fancy) then after that, save the map. this is what you never told him to do madmodder...the major part of the modding, overwriting the cache003 on your xbox with the modded cache003 you had before hand. do this with your ftp client. just overwrite the un-modded cache003 with your modded cache003, then load BG and have fun. hope this helps.

trial and error my friend.
the most important rule of modding is trial and error.
try it out, if it dosnt work than post a more specific/understandable post  and we may be able to help.

you delete the cache file. Than start up the level you want to modify. This makes sure you get the level you want. Than you put that NEW cache file on you computer to start to edit. Hope this Helps you!

cache000 is single player
cache001 is single player
cache002 is user interface
cache003 is multiplayer levels, such as BG
cache004 is sidewinder and other maybe
cache005 is like rat race or wizard

Clearing the cache files just makes the first multiplayer level you play cache003. Example: you clear your cache files. You load up BG. Cache003 is now BG. You load up Sidewinder. It should be cache004 now. I think if you have more than 1 mp map loaded, it puts them in alphabetical order. So if you played BG, SW and BC, BC would go to cache003, BG to cache004 and SW to cache005.

If you want an easy way to tell which cache file is which level before you take it off of your xbox, get Halo Cache Editor. It will list them in order of caches. HCE is found in the "usual places".
