hey im having probs with applying ppfs to xb halo
i try to apply it to the cache file, but it just makes my game crash everytime

Ok here is come info that might help you, i'm not going to bother if i make sense or have bad spelling cuasse i am in a hurry. Just going to whip info at u.
Lets say you download a ppf called "FlyingGhost.ppf"
Download the latest Ppf-O-Matic and then apply it to the map that it was designed for. If it doesn't say anything then its usally Blood Gulch. Halo Pc ppfs do not work with xbox. Xbox ppfs do not work with Halo pc. HPC ppfs work with halo pc. Xbox ppfs work with xbox halo.
For xbox.........
these r located either X,Y, Or Z
Cache002 = UI.MAP
Cache003 = Bloodgulch.map
Cache004 = Sidewinder (i think)
You tranfer cache003 to you computer HD apply ppf the bloodgulch mod ppf you want then trnafer it back. Same with all the other cache's
IF you still having problems this always WORKS!
Delete all you Cache's in your X,Y,Or z drive then fire halo back up but make sure you select and play the map first that you r going to apply the ppf to.
Some ppf's r made for NTSC or PAL version so look out for that

I did all this and I still can't get it to work. I even tried applying the ppf patch to the bloodgulch.map

u have to clear, X,Y, and Z... then start a game, load BG, and then it will be in cache003.map

Hey guys.. Here is my stupid ass question.. I ftp into my xbox cleared all teh cache files.. X,Y,Z folders. than restarted the xbox and went into the blood gulch game with multiplayer.. than once it loaded it up I went to the computer and pulled the 003chache map and then saved it to my desktop.. Than I opened ppf-o-matic and put my 003cache file in the first slot than put my patch in the last one.. then I hit apply and then a screen says success, "Burn to CD Now".. wtf.. anyways I clicked ok and then it just disappeared.. My question is how do I get the finished product?? where is it..?? I know you have to replace the original one with the patched map but where did the patch map go??? Please help my friends.. I will own ya big time..

ok
1. u dont have to save it on the desktop...make a seperat file called cache's or something.
2.that burn image to cd thing i have no idea what that is but it probably just means u did it.
3. once ur 003 is patched go in flash fxp and then open your cache file
4. find the cache003 then click refresh and then drag it over to the cache003 on your xbox
sorry if it didnt make sense lol

OMFG MAN. Listen I am a complete n00b at this shit. SEARCH! There is a tutorial on how to apply ppf's. Search around for it. These people do not have to help you with this when you haven't even tried searching for yourself. And if you follow the tutorial and it doesn't work then obviously you did something wrong because you are probably the only person who did everything "right" and it still isn't working.
