Halo PPF patches

This has been bothering me for the last 3 days, i swear ive tried everything. I have halo ppf patches ad i patch them to maps, k? Then i put the map i patched onto halo on my HDD. Then i start halo, and the game is normal. I check forums and tutorials, they all say the same thing, i have to patch the cache003.map file, it should be on my x, y, z folders. Well i do search using FlashFXP and it finds nothing. Then, I delete all the halo maps in my HDD(dont worry i have 2 back-ups on my PC and i own the game) and the game still plays, and the maps are still there! So how do i patch those dam maps, and how are they still there even after i deleted them, are there temp files i have to find too? Also, where are those stupid cache.map files? I cant find them anywhere.

First of all chill out. Second, go into your x,y and z drives. Delete everything in those drives and only those drives. Now, load up Halo. Load your Multiplayer level. When you get into the game, eject the disk or whatever so you get back to your ftp client(Evox or w/e) Ftp into your x y or z drive(the game usually puts it in the Z drive but it may put the files into one of the other drives instead. When you find the right drive, these files should be there:Cache000.map, Cache001.map, Cache002.map etc...
Those are the files. Now if you want to patch a multiplayer map, Download the cache003.map. patch it using whatever ppf patcher you want then upload it again to the same drive it was in overwriting the old Cache003.ap. This is how you patch the cache files which is what halo looks at for all the level data. Hope this helped. If you have any other probs let me know.Oh and sorry for teh long post.
