Can't play in 480p (halo on xbox)

Can't play in 480p (halo on xbox)
I have halo on my xbox's hdd, i did a softmod and im running evox. If i play halo off my disc it runs in 480p, but if i run it off my hdd it runs in 480i and i can't change it. Anyone know a way to change this?
