HMT3 Linux

Post by Phasma »

I think that HMT3 is a great Program, I really haven't gotten much of a chance to mess with it because I don't run windows, but from what I have seen it is pretty cool. There wouldn't be a port in progress or source code avalible would there? If there isn't a port in progress, I would love to take a shot at porting it over to Linux.

Seeing that there are = calls to the .NET framework in linux, I see it as possible.

IIRC, there have been linux .NET framework projects. I'm not sure if any of them have been completed in their entirety, as I haven't check up recently. You wouldn't really need the .NET framework anyway, you could just port the algorithims used from VB to C/C++ and then use GTK or QT(BLEH!) to create the GUI if you so chose (which would probably be a damn good idea considering how much HMT can do, command line arguments just wouldn't cut it.

Only thing is the source hasn't been released...
