editing halo 2 gametype files (the how to)

ok ive tried this hundreds of times no matter what i do it doenst work so im going to post a few images of what im doing and maybe soeone can tell me where im going wrong about this..

(first picture.. this is the save file i have the MGL snipers only game type...)
