n00b question..sry
How do i apply .ppf paches ............and if i edit a cache file then save it back on my xbox it will be the edited one right??

I had the same problem yesterday!
Download PPF-o-matic u can get it somewhere in the downloads forum i think! then download the patch you want (make sure it's the right one PAL/NTSC) then (i don't know if this step is neccessary, but it's what i do and it works
) turn on your xbox and load halo, goto multiplayer split screen join up 2 players and click whatever level you are going to mod (most likely bloodgulch) and select slayer as game type. Go in, fire a few off and then press start > leave game. wait for the postgame report thing to come up and the buttons at the bottom then press b and leave to the main interface, turn off your xbox and go back to your dash that can FTP. Then grab from either X: Y: or Z:, for me its X: the file cache003.map copy it to ur desktop and open up ppf-o-matic. Select for the ISO thing cache003.map by choosing all files and for the patch select your patch. Then press apply. When it is done ftp cache003.map back to ur xbox drive where it came from (make sure u back up the orig cache003 b4 u do NETHIN!) overrite the orig and then reboot ur xbox. Load up halo n do what u want and when u select the level u moded you will see ur mod in action (remember if its a banshee patch put ghosts on coz it takes place of that, simple mistake to make) Hope that was in enough detail for you
