A good disassembler

I need a good dissassembler. I use IDA Pro right now, and I like it, but you can't edit any of the assembly in it. And although I can figure out where and what I want to change, I down right suck at doing it in hex. So I need a good dissassembler that can edit the assembly for me.

x86, if I could write plugins for things like xbe's and xex's that would be awesome.

I heard IDA doesn't allow you to edit PPC ASM, but I'm not sure if it lets you edit other languages, if thats what your trying to edit.

Well, it doesnt let you edit assembally period. Right now I only need x86, but if it could work with PPC to then that would be greate.

Now I got it. It sure was annoying to find it, I searched a cuple things on google, then I found this overview of IDA and a IRC channel at the bottom that I went to to get help.
