Major Hex Problem

well iam trying to change the chief into an elite and i get lost when i get to the hex part. I find both offsets for chief and the special elite but when i got to hex editor and open assult on the control room there are three columns. The first two are numbers and the third is words and numbers and when i go to goto and put it to serch on hex and paste the chiefs offset and click go it makes that noise. So iam stumped and i have no idea wut to do someone please help!!!!!

ok, the last colum, the offsets, you reverse that, then replace it with the reversed one for the elite, and your models should be switched (using iron's offsets)

yea i get the whole switching thing its just that when i go to goto and put it on hex and paste the cyborg's offset and click go it doesnt do nothin but make that annoying noise windows make all the time.

iam talkin about when u go to edit and then go to it does the beep thing and its on hex not dex
cuz iam tryin to change the chief into an elite to drive the wriath

a problem with your hex.. try opening hex first, then just dragin it in? does this adress your problem?

nope still doesnt work but it will let me type the numbers of the offset and it will take me somewhere tho i dont know if its right

iam not sure if my offset is right cuz the all the other values have four numbers and/or letters and my offset has eight (03F06BD8)

UGH. Just do what it says, you don't really need to know all the other crap, like why there are three columns. Don't you see the value in the hex? God, the whole damn thing is only four characters. It's called a word. The eight thing is just two words together. You should just do the obvious, not wonder about the other unimportant shiz.
