gravity rifle. what is it?

What is the gravity rifle. i found the tag and bitmap in all of the halo maps and most of the halo ce maps. the bitmap shows a gun i have never seen before in the game. it seems imcomplete. there are now projectile, damage, or overcharege damage tags on the maps.

Its a turned over gun that was planned to be implemented by bungie, but because of the complexity, it was left incomplete but still in the game as a hidden tag, unaccessible by any people except modders.
