When i tried to capture the video it got all laggy and stuff and the fps dropped down to 3.

Either you are trying to capture too high res. video or your HD is veeery slow. I got little bit over 20fps with fraps with my sucky radeon 9200.

i get around 20 fps and i got cheap-o intel extreme 2 with latest drivers

You bumped this why?And everyone knows about game cam.Fraps is better though

ya u probably have a slow hd. mine is ultra-fast. i get neware from 23-28 fps wen recording. i have a raedeon saphire atlantis 256mb. it doesnt matter if u have an 'all in wonder' or and X800 it rele matters if u have 256 or 128 mb. i have 256 and i have no problems. and like i say my hd is so new and fast... its not even connected with the 80pin thing thats rele long. its connected with a cord thats about an inch thick, maybe less
it may also be how much RAM memory u got or how fast ur comp is. mine is 2.8 gig. u no it cud rele be a combination of things.
and 20 fps for that game thing? 20 fps SUX. i rarely get less than 21

well, its gonna cut away about half your FPS atleast thats what it usually does to me... Also try lowering your settings maybe.
