I have seen ALOT of great work out there. I'm enjoying applying .ppf to maps. However, sometimes it's tough to determine for what level a .ppf is intended. I see a real benefit in having a suggested naming convention for .ppf files intended for Halo map modification.
Please suggest and refine (or correct me if this has already been suggested).
How 'bout:
Platform_region_map_short-description.ppf
An example would be:
xbox_ntsc_BG_200 trees.ppf
This would indicate a .ppf intended for the NTSC version of the xbox map 'Blood Gulch'.
If a .ppf applies to all maps, we might use and XX to indicate this.
e.g.: pc_pal_XX_all vehicles.ppf
Maybe we should also include the game, for the purpose of using this convention for other software:
HaloPC_NTSC_XX_all grunts flatulent.ppf
(Halo PC NTSC ppf for all maps....)
or
HaloXB_PAL_BP_make Master Chief a capricorn.ppf
(An Xbox Halo .ppf for PAL equipment for level 'Boarding Party' .... )
or HaloX_XX_XX_Carl Sagan as Master Chief.ppf
(For both HaloPC and HaloXbox, both PAL and NTSC, every level).
Thoughts? Does this leave any important info. out?
