Help With Injected Sounds

well i finally imported custom sound into halo PC but some sounds i inject sound like spray when i shoot gun...like a weak sound........i am using goldwave and saving weapon sounds as 22.050 or whatever Mono Xbox ADPCM wav file and importing into halo PC

any programs you can recommend for saving sound files as something else?
