yes, i know how to do this now. You brought back an old question from before i knew hex.

On any level, offset swap yourself to be an elite special; now swap any of your starting weapons (Assault Rifle, Pistol) with the plasma sword. Now you can see the blue light on the ground, but you can't swing or stab or even use the sword, though it's "on" you.
When you do the same with a yourself beeing a Hunter, and change (for example) the Pistol to "hunter fuel rod gun", you can use it; just hold your "fire"-Button (leftMousebttn) and wait for it goin' BOOM. (don't know if anybody posted this before, just did)
