map texture problem

im having trouble with the texture of my map i have folowed kirk's tuts.
i changed the bitmap to an explicit alpha with guerill but when i select show alpha it is still blank. is that supposed to happen
or would this problem be caused by somthing else?

you have to create an alphamask with painshop b4 u put it on ur skybox.....u can use photoshop too, but idk how to

it didnt work i still have the same problem
i followed kirks painthsop tutorial
more help would be appreciated

well then u didnt do it exactly....try going to the very first step where u create the ground (the alpha mask is in there) and then save it over the original ground....then open ur level in 3dsmax and re-apply the new texture.....continue on from there

o ok i thought u ment u did the guerilla thing again....well then i cant rilly say too much to help other than....did u recompile the map when u were done to include the new skybox u just made?

i think i have it figured out
i named the texture in 3ds max ****_grond instead of ****_ground
and my .tif file is ****_ground
im pretty sure thats the problem
