When I went into Sapien to add some stuff to my level, and my base that made was white. I applied some textures to it in 3DS Max but they didnt show up in Sapien. Do I need to put the actual TIF file that i used into my Bitmaps folder for that level and create tags for them? What do I do? :?:

Yep, you have to compile your bitmaps then create shaders for them in Guerilla. Then you have to run it through Tool again.

If you get Kirks vid tut's, #7 I think, he explains this really well.

well a little common sense would say YES. obviously a bitmap that is used needs to be in the bitmaps folder -_- ffs.
and obviously you create tags!
omg some people cannot grasp this thing we call COMMON SENSE

in kirks tutorial though when he textures the base, he doesnt create a shader for it and he doesnt even put that TIF file in the bitmaps folder. He just applies that texture and its there.

well, when i followed his tutorial, i didnt need to create a shader for the base material and it showed up. But anyway, ill create the shaders and see what happens.

The shader and .bitmap files have no relation to 3dsMax. So, Yes, it would show up in 3dsMax without the shaders or .bitmap's. But to see them in sapien or HaloCE you MUST compile your .tiff files and create the shaders for each. Or if you let tool cretae the shaders the first time through just copy those into your shader folder and change the settings using guerilla.

I know there are like a bazillion steps to getting a map completed and so far there is not a ONE tutorial that shows them all in order. But if you have the patience you will succeed.
