Changing the multipurpose?

What exactly do you need to do to change around the multipurpose. I'm looking to change where the color-rankings of the covenant go, and I haven't had a chance to play around with the multipurpose layers at all, although from what I have seen of them, they don't look as easy to mess with as the normal skins.

I'm not exactly sure but i think that you're looking at the wrong skin for layers and the color of the thing your doing. Multipurpose tells exactly where the light should reflect and stuff like that.

Oooooooo, I see.... so I guess the only way to reduce where the color is then, is to replace some of their white armor with black... still has the potential to look cool...
