First Time Learner - HEK Tutorial Error?

Alright, so I've got 3dsmax5 and blitzkrieg, and I've completed Level Creation - Part 1.
And with that completed my current Modifier list is comprised of:
--Edit Mesh
--UVW Mapping
Editable Mesh
So after looking over and checking for mistakes, checking my work with the screenshots, I save and move on.
On Level Creation - Part 2, (which should take after 1) is only comprised of one Modifier visable on the screenshot:
Editable Mesh
Now what happened to Edit Mesh and UVW Mapping ?
I've found myself pulling my hair out over this matter, I'm a newb at halo mapping, but I am a quick and thorough learner.
