Modelling with max5

How the hell do i import and export models?
at first it was good because i could opne the files in max, but when all ido is import, then export (not altering a thing, it says im over the verticies level, then im pissed, how should i import and export my models? what settings?

get the wavefront obj maxscript from somewhere on the web and then export your models as a .obj

i have that, but i want to know what settings to import and export with, because if i import, do nothing at all, then export it says i have too many verticies... i mean wtf

when you import the model is really, really, really, really small. just zoom in as much as you can on the center of the grid and eventually you will see the model, i'm not sure about the exporting

Katarn, i think you have no clue what Pottsy means...
so far, only milkshape can do the modeling perfectly with no problem.
the Softimage XSI for Half-Life 2 is said to work, but it has some problems of its own (not related to modeling, but to the program itself)

meh, just tryin to help, i've been working on models myself, and i must say i'm progressing much better than i thought i would, 3dsmax is worth the money; but i didnt have the money
