Skinning sky

How do i inject textures into the sky bitmap?
i wanna replace sky clear blue and the planet one, but it says file must be dtx1
or file must be dtx4 or dtx5
now matter what dtx type i save to

I think the sky texture is a A8R8G8B8... I have gotten it to work using adobe photoshop, but can't get it to work with paintshop pro. Anyway, mess with the options, because the sky, threshold, and basis are all of the same type, and different from the normal. Play with the alpha bit.

gr8, it says texture imported, but it stays black, and sky doesnt change...

how do i save them? i used 32 bit, 8 bit 24 bit, and i get funny images, how do i succesfully add these files?

save it as "A8 Alpha (8 bit. Alpha Only)"
that works for me
