Sapien Problom. Radiosity error
after i type radiosity_start it says,"radiosity error:degenerate triangle[or triangle with bad uvs] (see blue in error geometry). someone plz help me fix this

degenerate triangle? those are polys with no surface area (where all the vertices are in the same place, thus violating the sealed world rules)
as i hear, you can select all the vertices on your level, then do a weld with a threshold of, like, 0.1 or something really small, and that'll take care of it. look into it a bit, and save an extra copy to try this on. (never done it myself)

ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

You could clear all the smoothing then redo them manually.Stinger77s wrote:Actually I have had that error a few too many times. Your smoothing groups are jacked up, not sure exactly what you can't do with the smoothing groups, but I am sure that is your problem.
My real name is a Mammoth, if someone who cares sees this, please change my name to a Mammoth

Sorry, but I just don't like the second half of your definition for degenerate.[cc]z@nd! wrote:degenerate triangle? those are polys with no surface area (where all the vertices are in the same place, thus violating the sealed world rules)

The vertices could all be in different places, only the zero surface area matters.
This can create problems in that welding won't work for these kinds of triangles - you have to find them in the WRL.
