im new so....well i was gonna make a modle for ce, a weapon, the one i would like to make is a hammer, the hammer of tutarus.

Do you know what you need to do to put it into CE? Cause theres a tutorial for that

Um, i'm not too big into modding, but if you go to the news history and type my name in, you will find a pice of news that gives a basic idea of how to model a basic pistol in Gmax, you could probably learn a few things from that...

with tools like chamfer, and.... well, there's tons of stuff you can do. look around at 3dkingdom.org for some tutorials on modeling things, as well as do a google search for 3ds max tutorials, and you should quickly get a grasp of the basics.

A thing? Yes, I believe they are called books.

i dont want ppl to do the work for me,i want to no if they no how instead me having to go and look it up, and then thats not making them do the work wen the no it, i have a saying, "if u have knowledge, spread it".
Also most tuturails i have to down load, and i have an extremly slow internet conection soo...i think u get it.
ps next time u wanna say that about someone make sure its the truth, i mean if u no itit wouldnt hurt to wite it out god, that would mean u r lazy, and i hope u no that im really young and most ppl my age dont even no this kind of stuff exsits.

I understand. I did not know the context to which you apply. If you really want some help I will be available probably this weekend on aim. Also if you want some tutorials just download
one of Kirk's Tutorials that go through 3DS Max.
Really thought. To make a very very simple level all you need to do is go through this process:
1. Open 3DS Max (trial) or Gmax
2. Create two boxes in the perspective viewport
3. Name one of the boxes frame and link the other box to it using the link tool which is very close to the selection tool which looks like an arrow (the
link tool looks like two boxes with a chain in between them.
4. Right click on the one that is linked to frame and convert to -> Editable Mesh
5. Go to the edit tab (it will either do this automatically or it is the tab to the right of the create tab which is selected)
6. Select the box button
7. Click on the box that is linked to the frame
8. Go to the block of stuff that the button you just clicked was in
9. Scroll down to Normals and click 'Flip'
10. Hit MKEY (the M Key on your keyboard) to open up the material editor
11. Go to Multi-Sub/Objects button and click it
12. From the list select Multi-Sub/Objects
13. Click yes to discard all materials
14. Click delete until only two materials are left
15. Click the first material (button)
16. change its name to +sky
17. Got to diffuse and click the second color block
19. pick a blue color
20. go up one level (somewhere on the right there should be an arrow)
21. Now, drag and drop the material you just named on the box that is still
selected
22. If it doesn't change to the color of the material then you must go to the edit tab and go to material number (has select by material number bellow it) and change it to the number that the +sky texture is
There are more steps but I don't have the time to right them all.
Really, if you have the time to figure out this, then you also have time to download one of Kirk's Tutorials that goes much more in depth.
I think I'll be on AIM during the weekend. You can also check out my forums (signature); there are some pretty helpful guys there.

You can only modify the models. You cannot make new ones.
