A8, R8, G8, B8

Ok so i have been modding my UI map for a while to my custom colors,, but there are certain pixel formats i cannot edit,, the damn a8,g8,r8,b8 ones,, theres only a few but those are the only ones i cant change the color on,, i have adobe7 and if i edit ONLY the color,, and i inject it ,, it still fakks up,, the dll plug in that i got for adobe only has the A8 save. So theres really no trying the other 3. I dont really understand the saves anyways,, and how htey work,, dtx1 no alpha and alpha,, i always use alpha,, alpha to the colors is???? dtx2or3 doesnt seem to matter, then dtx4,5 doesnt seem to matter,, those are the only others besides the unknown pixel format in the game(AY8),, and the A8 is the only one i cant freaking change!! when i inject it,, it injects then comes up all skewed and shifted around,, in the original color,, i was thinking maybe the a8, is just the outline for the border and the color lies within another bitmap,, cuz in one bitmap on the UI it says blue.dll and i changed it to orange,, and i noticed a blue line turned orange in one of the options menus,,, so im thikning i dont even need to edit this if im gonna change the color,, just find out which bitmap changed the color,,,,,, im near completion of my ui map and this would be gr8 help fellas,, if anyone knows anything,, ill post pics of my main screen and options menus once im done,, but you wont be able to hear the insanely good music 8-)!!!

PS if anyone knows how to view the unsupported pixel images let me know where i could a plugin or whatnot,,

☼edit☼i forgot the a4,r4,g4,and b4 format as well,, jesus i need a better plugin!!

sorry last thing,, if anyone know what the default 2d and 3d bits are that would also be appreciated,, there are 4 colors in both of them,, one of them is blue, so i was thining if i changed the blue to orange then it would change the rest of the blues i cannot change,, but the defaults are as well A8~!!!!!!!!!!!! :evil:

I guess i will NEVER EVER be able to finish my UI MAP!!!!!! damnit,, im so closee!!!!!!

That's just Alpha red green blue format. Get a ps trial and it works fine with the dds plugin. And when you save select ARGB forget the numbers.

i have PS,, im saying HMT said its either A8.G8, blah blah you know,, anyways,, so i save it as A8, alpha only and it gets fakked,, saving as ARGB could be DTX1-DTX5 as well as many other formats,, the only other ones that look possible are the pallette ARGB 256 color, and palette ARGB 16 color,, i guess ill try saving in all the other formats until one works,,, hopefully one will,, and thankx for the reply bud,,,

All you need to do is select 32 bit ARGB with the dds plugin.

man,, its still not working,,,, ill save it,, and when i inject it,, it still comes out all skewed and what not,,,, and the color is still blue,, this just makes no sense,, i hope im not screwed with not being able to finish this 8-(

also,, if i inject the bitmap i made then reinject the original it still is scewed and cant see anything but blue random marks,,, and if i keep reinjected they just move around,,, i dont think its possible to ,, inject A8 bits,, or edit them,, either because of HMT or because of somehting...... have no idea

why couldnt they have just made the format DTX1,3, or 5 like most the other images,, damnit!!
