go to files.halomods.com and go to utilities. in there there should be a topic named "those without photoshop". Inside it has a tool that lets you change .dds files (bitmaps) to .bmp files (pics u can open in paint.) Theres also a DLL download if you need it (only download it if the tool doesnt work). First extract the .dds file from the bitmaps section in HMT from any map. Then change it to a .bmp file. Open it with Paint and do what u want to it. then change it back to .dds files and inject it into the bitmaps section in HMT. MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE THE FILE THAT YOU ORIGINALLY TOOK OUT OR IT WILL BE COMPLETELY WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT.
