I used the same tutorial as TomClancey, I didn't add as much detial to keep the model's poly count low. It has 2114 faces.

The back is a little off, I couldnt find a decent ref picture. Only one i had was 100x75.

That's where I found out how to create that skin, and it's in 3ds max so of course it isnt the best quality.

3ds max can produce amazing quality.

Its not bad, however the skin is unrealistic and simple, the model is also simple but it might be fine depending on how low polygon you want to go.

You might want to explore bump mapping aswell, aswell as specular and reflection maps. They can add to the realism in the halo engine.

I haven't tested anything with 3ds max with bump mapping cause i thought that it doesn't stay with the model when it is compiled into a gbxmodel.

just becuase its in max doesnt mean the skin quality is bad, max is built for this kind of stuff

Needs some work, looks a little weird. Skin needs detail.

hammer of course is messed up, and i think the body of the gun is too skinny. my friend has a usp and its much thicker, so if you can, jsut make it that. also, the skin looks like concrete mixed with bluish gray color with red/brown/sepia for the grips. again, try bump mapping or specular mapping and those kinds of things.
