[WIP] Walther P22

Here is my 1st model i ever made. I used plane modeling and i used the plane modeling tuts by the one english guy who made the Baretta 9000.

i like it, whats the poly count? to me it looks like it might be a bit high, but mb not. also, the handle looks really wierd, not like my friends p22. but i still like it.

One of the best first model i have seen. There seems to be a couple geometry errors and a lot of extra polys you can get rid of oh and the model seems too thin.

overall, the whole thing is way too thin, but you're off to a good start for your first plane model. gj. keep working on it, as there's plenty to improve on.

like snaf said it's way to thin and looks like it needs major smoothing : /

That's great for a first model, just needs to be wider and cleaned up a little, then smoothed.

BTW Snaf, I tried to DL the tuts, they seem to have been taken down :( Anywhere else I can get them? (Tried Google, got bored and gave up after a few pages of crap)

also try to get bigger renders and not wire ones

thanks guys and again its just a WIP, so im still working on it, the poly count is i think like 2628. im not sure ill ho check again. Also Um cool dude bout the refs i only haave 2 because i have the real walther P22. So i jsut look at my real one from dif angels. and i couldnt find very big refs.( :( go figure.)

The grip looks a little 'crumpled' but the top is spectacular. Great for a first, keep it up. :D

ya, i just tottaly screwed the grip cus i got messed up and i couldnt get it rite. But thanks for all te comments. And the gun is so thin becuase its really that thin. Its only an inch wide.

it's not really that thin. and bs you couldn't find any large references. i just typed p22 into images.google and the first 2 images are huge, the following are large as well

You can find it here: http://www.sourceblog.org/index.php?ind ... ew&iden=79 , but it has alot of downloading, good tutorial though :). You have to register to the site first.
