Can anyone skin a m16 for me? I have no idea how to skin weapons. I could try but I know I would be terrible at it. I want it to be for halo xbox. Can someone also tell me how to import models into halo xbox?

Well the author is there in the link but I'll edit my post anyway. But do you want me to post the skin when and if I get done with it? I can tell you now that it surely wont be good looking at all. :P

Is there a way to use .3ds files in milkshape? Or maybe a converter?

about the author thing, i meant that you had to nam the author when you released the mod for halo :)

and i think deepexploration can convert 3d files.

What do I need to know for halo 1 xbox skinning? Like polygon count and that stuff? How do I tell the polygon count in milkshape? I found a program that comes with a plugin that can import 3ds files. So I just used the same plugin for milkshape.

i don't think you need to know the number of vertices for skinning, only for modeling, the number of verts need to stay the same.
