Warthog does be black ontill i walk up to it help

Hi i skin a warthog and when i'm done skinning it say blue white or what ever colur i skin it in the warthog does be black on till i walk up to it and then it is the colour i skined it any help on this why does it be black ontill i stand beside it

need some help.

You need to generate mip maps.

i got it right thanks to your help i just had to put the number from 1 to 8 and that was it.
