Start to finish: how to import Halo 2 maps into 3ds max.HELP

Ok... I'm sure many people will complain about this post because "its everywhere" but I just cant find EXACTLY what I need, and I HAVE searched. All I want to know is ALL the steps and software (and how to use the software) needed to take a model from Halo 2 and import it into Max. I see several programs like Blitzkreig, but I don't know exactly what to do... you have every right to call me a n00b. lol.
Just to be safe in my description, I need to import a whole map into Max, textured and everything (preferably) so I can have aerial views of all the maps for me to draw strategies (for my clan) on.
If you don't want to explain it (probably again) then please at least link me to the topics.
