My First Model Ever

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

My First Model Ever

Post by RaVNzCRoFT »

My first model ever; an M4 Commando by Colt. Made entirely in Cinema 4D.
(I would have done some detail on the magazine, handle, and shoulder rest, but by this point I was sick of the whole thing)

Wow. I think its better then my first model, im a noob tho. I really like the detail in the barrel area. The butt needs some detail tho. Other then that i thinks its good. Great job.

Good for a first Model, but you should atleast aim for the actual shape of the gun.

Good job for your first.
It's not finished though, finish of the parts you said you didn't do and it will be great.

Well the reference picture I used is the one below. The only thing that I didn't include is all the detail, and I guess it's still a WIP. But I did aim for the actual shape of the gun.

Entirely done in Cinema 4d. And every time I look at my model, the uglier the back end looks without any detail. So I guess this will have to be a WIP, and I'll revisit it soon.

Like my sig?
I can give you everything you need:
http://www.tutorialoutpost.com/count/1873
These are caustics. They make my text blue and throw a blue shadow onto the floor. The floor is a bitmap with a bump map and reflection. The text is easy to do you go to Create tab then spline and then text.Don't forget to use the metal ray rendering system and voila.I can give you the .max file if you get stuck.Ahh yes I did messed around with the Photons and its energy(included in the tut)
Mb I will do a vid tut on this. :D
