3ds Max Question

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

3ds Max Question

Post by Grunt Rebel »

Ok im not sure if this is the rigth place to post this but, what is a student lisence for 3ds Max. I saw people saying thats its like cheaper but for only a year, am i correct? Also how do you sign up for one? There is no way i will be able to afford 3ds, and i really want to model for halo ce. I do have gmax and model in it but every time i tryed making maps or weapons i can never get it to export rigth or run thru tool correctly. So this is kinda my last hope.

Student license is about $172 for one year. The only catch is that you must be a student in a school of some kind.

So what you have to do is get a letter from your principal, or some other paperwork that shows that you are a student, then fax/mail/e-mail, or whatever your chosen form of communication with them is, the information.

I had one once

Nope, just a student wanting to learn. At the time I got it, I was going to a school for children with problems, lmao.

Not like retardation, but more for people taht are suffering from bi-polar disorder, depression, anger management issues, etc.
They had no such classes that used anything fun, so I dont think you need to be in one

I have a student liscense from my HS and they actually pay for most of it. I pay my school about $75 a year and they cover the rest.
