Milkshape giving me a headache..

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Milkshape giving me a headache..

Post by loser_guy »

Ok, I'm trying to do some modifications to the warthog, but milkshape locks up when I try to import more than 4 or 5 objects, and rhino 3d won't even import ones, other than ones that have been exported my milkshape (in .obj format).
Has anyone else ever had this problem? do you have to have the full version for it to work right or what?

I know that. But I didn't ask for another program. I have enough crap on my computer, and I probably am going to re-format soon so I can get rid of my two xbox drives that keep filling up, and use only my 160gb, so that would be more crap I have to re-dl.

Even if you didn't ask for another program, you should ditch milkshape if you're gonna do ANYTHING good with Halo CE. Halo was made using 3d Studio Max, and Gmax is a ***FREE*** program that acts just like 3dsmax, as it was made by the same company, discreet. The only thing is, the only way to export from gmax into formats Tool understands is by Chimp, a script exporter. It works, but it is slow.

Plus, I've heard nothing good about Milkshape in regards to Halo modding.
