How to I edit scenery models???

Whenever i try to edit the model of lets say the rocks in containment or any other scenery objects of that sort in other maps, no matter what I do they never change. How can i actually change these things. All help is appreciated thank you.

containment? r u talkin bout halo 2 here, or halo 1 scenery objects...?

Sounds like H2 to me. This should be posted
here if you are talking about h2.
