Hog Model Trouble

when i try to edit things in milkshape the result is always screwed up so i was wandering how could i make it where the bitmap of it doesnt get screwed and the modle doesnt leave gaps?
one the warthog i was wnating to extend the back like the hearse wathog, many of us may have saw . How could i do the back like that without gapping it up or anything , or how could i do that in general?
