I've been working on this for maybe an hour or so, I don't keep track of time. I'm making a Gundam model from my favorite Gundam show, The 08th MS Team. I used to watch that show late at night, then fall asleep and wake up to go to school. My biology teacher just loathed me because I slept in class everyday! I just couldn't prevent myself from falling asleep! I liked that show alot, even though I never saw every episode. Hence the name of the thread .

All I have done so far is the leg... sort of. I made a pedastal for it, the render angle may look a bit odd .

Well I worked on the foot and foot shield, I'm not going to say I'm the greatest modeler around, but I think this is ok for the night.

I as well was a huge fan of the 08th ms team, and am quite happy your doing this. are you going to make it for a cyborg replacement? i hear its realy hard to get everything to match up right, but i would make all my base are belong to you if you did. the progress so far looks great.

Looks really good, I wish I could model. I suck at it horribly. lol.

Two things here, GA2.

First, You're doing a good job. The detail is nice. If you need a reference pic, look up http://www.mahq.net. Probably THE most complete mecha listing on the internet.

Second will look a little more like spam. I'm sorry.

Ok, ten secons are up. BUT OH MY GOD YOU ROCK SO HARD IT'S ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO BELIEVE!! YOU HAVE TO FINISH THIS OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND... AND... AND THINK OF SOMETHING REALLY PAINFULL TO DO TO YOU!!!

And yeah, the 08th MS Team is an awesome show. I've got the whole DVD set. Though my personal favorite is 0080: War in the Pocket, 08th definately comes in a close second.

I have a question. Are you going to put it in as a vehicle?

I don't have any knowledge of how to get this into Halo, and as of right now, it's just a model. I think a Gundam mod would be pretty cool don't you think?

I have difficulty UVW mapping models, and I've never done it right before. I think this gundams coloring is simple enough to texture though (although I've never made a texture from scratch before!).

No, if it was a mod I don't think it would be a vehicle, because I've seen some really bad mods (although it takes real skill to do the kind of stuff they did) with mechs as vehicles, and I personally think this would be a bad idea. The bad mod I'm talking about is Killa2 with that mech that would tip over oh so easily. I have made maps before, and I was making one a while back, back before I really knew HOW to model. I was extremely frustrated with the errors I was getting, and when I got my map to export, sapien just wouldn't work and I got fed up with the whole idea. I can make maps, and I think a biped mod for Halo would be shall we say... FRIGGIN AWESOME! The Masterchief biped replaced with a Gundam model, in a map with buildings and stuff would be really neat! Heck, this is from the 08th Ms team, this could be in the jungle! Ok, enough talk here's the update:



I've been working on tuning and honing the model, nothing really exciting now.

EDIT: Also I removed the ankle guard, it just looked bad !

I have a horrible eye when it comes to scale, I know. The knee needs reworking, it's a little small but I'm to tired to continue.

I've heard of Evangelion but I don't know what it's about.

It's kind like the whole gundam, robot fighting action except with a twist .

the only thing that it releats to gundam with is the robots everything else is totally different, if it were like gundam, id hate it lol

Wicked. Those things are creepy! I'm not going to be able to work on it over the weekend, I'm going to my granparent's place down state for chirstmas.

Fucking waste of a weekend if you ask me. Not that I hate them but I would rather work on my own than bother to put up with people.
