need help skinning and rendering

i use milkshape and was wondering if anyone else knows how to skin and render using it. i tried autodesk's software and didn't like it. i am using halo pc models. i looked over all the tuts here and tried various other forums all to no avail.

Dipturd don't bump. But anyways I love MShape. It's great! I have no clue how to texture with it. It's mostly a noob learning device.

ok sry about the bump. i just really wanted help and didn't want this post to become one of those one hit subjects.
doesn't anyone else know?also what is a good rendering program for free?
